February writing progress

Posted by on March 1, 2013

Calendar pages are turning across the world, meaning that it’s time to provide another monthly writing progress update.  And so without further ado, I present my February writing total:

February, 2013:  27,511 words

In February, I completed and released a (long) short story, Snowbound, which is now available for sale at e-book retailers everywhere.  I’m also well past 60,000 words on the novel, so the first draft is coming right along.  I’m really excited with how the novel is turning out, and I am particularly excited to be farther along now than I have ever been before.  I’m going to keep pushing hard to finish the novel as soon as I can–my, what a great feeling that will be!

I have to confess that I am really ecstatic with how the year has gone so far.  You’ll recall that my goal for 2013 was 200,000 words for the year, and between my January and February progress, I’m already at 47,543 words, which is nearly a quarter there.  And we’re only two months in!  Now I just have to keep at it and keep going with the great head start that I’ve gotten.  Here’s to a productive March!  Until then, happy writing and happy reading!

Hi! I’m not sure how I happened across your blog (Indies Unlimited?) but I’m enjoying your short stories, and looking forward to more from you!
